In moving to a new area, for a senior citizen, the medical
infrastructure can be a source of great comfort and
reassurance or the opportunity to participate in a game of
chance with dire consequences to your health. The best
source of information is someone in the medical profession
who knows the lay of the land and who knows you. That's
how we found Dr. Jeffrey Amen, via the recommendations of
two PCP's. He was fantastic. Then, too soon, he retired.
We took a chance. Would the doctor who took over his
practice have the same skills combined with warmth and
friendliness? The answer, and the reason for my
recommendation, is yes. YES, YES! His successor, whom he
chose, is Dr. Leila Osovar-Kermani, and she carries
forward the caliber of service combined with friendliness,
that we thought we would never find again. I am a retired
physician, and not the average consumer. I am particularly
critical of less than the ideal in the practitioners of
health care, highly critical of bureaucracy that distances
doctor from patient. In her sparkling clean, easily
accessible office, with loads of parking, there she is,
exactly on time, and without muss or fuss, she performs
her examination while making you feel totally comfortable
and welcome. Without reservation, you will enjoy skillful,
attentive care in her hands, and leave the office with a
new respect for what healthcare, in the right hands, can
be. She is a real find. Thank you PCP's and Dr. Amen!
